People’s Solutions for Humanity

The International Peoples’ Assembly (IPA) - North America is excited to announce “A Socialist Horizon: People’s Solutions for Humanity” – a conference dedicated to constructing real solutions for the struggles of the working class in the United States.

The elite in this country are ramping up their violent assault against us at every turn. From police brutality, to union busting, to the climate crisis, to the attacks on voting and reproductive rights – these are just a taste of the crises that the capitalist system hands down to poor and oppressed people. The corporations, bankers, warmongers, and corporate media that maintain this system refuse to provide any real solutions because it benefits them and their profit margins. And so we are left to fend for ourselves, to preserve our livelihoods.

But we know who truly makes society run: the working class. We are the ones who care for the sick, feed each other, build homes for each other. And yet our humanity and dignity is attacked each day by those who promise us a better future. Workers can and must provide our own solutions to stop the capitalist class from destroying the planet and humanity.

How will we get there? What will a new society run by workers look like? How will we reverse the climate crisis and restore our relationship to the earth? What could global cooperation look like without US imperialism? These are pressing questions on the minds of youth, activists, and organizers across the world, and they will guide our discussions and debates this fall. Join us in Atlanta on September 2nd, to make the commitment to build a better world by us and for us.
